Easter Cards 2011

I am busy playing catch up with the Blog. I lost the ability to up date my blog at WordPress sometime last spring (you can still view the posts and projects I have there by going to OddBirdOut.wordpress.com)

In the meantime, I am going to be busy trying to update here at Blogger.

Awesome Owl Shadow Box

This is an owl Shadow box I made for my nieces birthday. I used echo park paper to cover a painted "art box" I acquired at Michael's. I cut the owls with the Cricut. I used Distress Inks and Stickles to give dimension and detail. I finished it off by spraying Tattered Angels over the painted parts to give it some shine and sparkle. I used a Sharpie Paint Pen to doodle on my die-cuts. Finally, I added bling around the front of the box.

Forever Young Thank You Cards

As soon as I first spotted Cricut’s Forever Young cartridge, I knew that I was going to need to get this cart. As a surprise gift for a special someone, I whipped up a set of fabulous Thank you cards using this card. 15 cards, all unique but corresponding…. I used the fabulous new Origins line from Basic Grey (love the colors and the prints in this; especially at the 6X6 size!) Check them out (and the cute box I made to go with them in the pictures below!
